Menorca Airport Parking

Long- and short-term parking at Menorca Airport is conveniently situated just opposite the terminal building, within a few minutes walk of the arrivals and departure areas.

With Menorca Airport being just 4.5 km distance from the island’s capital Mahon, many people simply take a taxi to get to the airport or to travel from the airport to their hotel. Frequent bus services are also available, which connect Menorca Airport to the capital and to the many resorts on the island.

For passengers who opt for car hire during their stay on Menorca, there is a special drop off point at the airport, which is sign-posted and is adjacent to the terminal building, where the car hire companies’ offices are located. At the end of a rental contract, customers should park the hired car in this area, before handing back the keys and documents of their rental vehicle to the car rental company’s counter staff.

Long- and short-term parking at Menorca Airport is divided into several areas. The airport provides short-term parking spaces for some 495 vehicles. The parking areas are also separated into short-term and mid-term parking lots. The first 30 minutes of parking are free of charge, after which visitors are charged €0.40 for the next 30 minutes or part thereof. A full additional hour will be charged at €0.75.

A maximum stay of up to 4 full days costs €7.50. After the fourth day this parking fee reduces to €6.00. A lost ticket is expensive and visitors are reminded that they should take good car of their ticket or they will be charged €37.50 for a replacement.

The long-term parking lot provides spaces for up to 250 vehicles. Menorca Airport parking tries to include everyone’s needs. Naturally, there are also designated parking areas for passengers with reduced mobility. These parking spaces can be found in car parks P1 and P2. Menorca Airport is a barrier free airport and there are specially adapted toilet facilities for passengers with disabilities, several lifts connecting the floors of the terminal building and access ramps allowing easy travelling between the different areas in the terminal building. There are also adapted telephone booths as well as information leaflets in Braille.

Upon getting to Menorca Airport visitors will find ATMs and a bank, shops, restaurants and snack bars as well as a café to while away the time before their flight commences.

The airport provides domestic flights to Mallorca, Menorca’s neighbouring island, as well as flights to Barcelona, Malaga and Madrid. Visitors to Menorca Island, who’d like to pop across the Mediterranean Sea for a few days to visit Mallorca or the cities on the mainland, should remember that the summer months can get very hot with temperatures exceeding 28 degrees Celsius.

It is recommended to cover the windscreen with some form of shading to prevent the interior of the car, the steering wheel and front seats from heating up to unacceptable levels. At no point whatsoever should animals or small children be left unattended in the car with the windows closed.

Airport security regularly patrol the car parks and visitors are reminded that all vehicles must be road worthy, taxed and adequately insured.
